Location: Ruwais, UAE

Work Performed:

Building Management System Design:

• Undertakes Building Management Systems (Architectural Civil, Structural, Access Control, Fire & Gas, Telecom, Public Addressing, Data, CCTV, Building Management System, HVAC controls, Lighting controls etc.) design associated with building modifications, construction of new buildings, up gradation of building facilities etc. including drawings, documents, data sheet preparation and issuance of FEED/ implementation packages.

• Designing Building Structure & Management System components of minor projects initiated by other departments or by senior management.

• Produces design, specifications, cost-estimates, tender documents and evaluates technical bids.

• Complies with project and control engineering guidelines and procedures, petroleum architecture principles and practices.

• Evaluates the commercial and technical feasibility of projects against the scope of requirements put forward by user departments. Includes current trends and technological advancements in project scope development.

• Device a Building Maintenance/ Management System and carry out building inspection as prepare established procedure and prepare reports for upgradation/maintenance of building infrastructure and facilities for Management review and approval.

• Responsible for maintaining and updating Building Asset Management System database.

• Identifying the needs of Green Building Requirements and produces necessary design/ review of Consultant design.

• Determines which permits, licenses, approvals, standards, guidelines, ordinances, rules, and regulations need to be obtained for a particular project and ensures they are in place.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

• 10 years’ experience in Building Management Systems design especially Fire & Gas Systems, Building Management Systems, Telecom, Data, HVAC Controls, Lighting Controls, Structured Cabling, Networking, Building Asset Management Systems, Public Addressing, Audio Visual Systems etc. and implementation in the Oil and Gas Industry.

• Knowledge of project design in the Oil and Gas industry.

• An understanding of standard engineering practices, procurement cycles, tendering procedures and HSEF requirements.

• Knowledge of the National/ Intentional standards and codes associated with all above systems mainly NFPA, IEC, UAE Civil Code etc.

• Knowledge of industry recommended practice, design methods and QA/QC requirements with respect to development and checking of engineering procedures, incorporation of agreed changes and document control.

• Able to prepare method statements, project specifications, scopes of work and to check control drawings for discrepancies.
