Operations Standard Engineer (Facilities Integrity)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Basic Function:
• To support operations by providing in-house expertise to ensure that suitable Operations standards and procedures are in place to allow for the implementation of a performance based approach, driven by competency assessment and monitoring of related quality assurance requirements.
• As a part of AIMS, specify 'Safe and Fit for Purpose' Standards and Best Practices for site Operations. Monitor / ensure use and compliance through system review and periodic audits.
• Support Business Unit sites (BU's) in developing / reviewing Operations procedures for temporary critical operations for Plant shutdown and turnaround operations.
Worked Performed:
• Supports Emiratization and the development of UAE nationals through ongoing support and mentoring.
• Identifies updates and maintains operations standards, in line with world class practices.
• Provides technical expertise and advice on updating operations manuals.
• Ensures operations procedures are practical, accurate and fit for purpose.
• Reviews and updates existing work procedures to ensure conformity with Company and worldwide best practices.
• Monitors document control for procedures and manual development.
• Carries out audits of sites procedures and operations documentation changes.
• Monitors and provide related expertise on new projects.
• Reviews and comments on process related standards and training matters to ensure fit for purpose procedures and methods are adopted.
• Liaises and coordinates with professional bodies/institutes/organizations then perform gap analyses and update Operations Standards department documentation with latest developments in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Performs other related duties such as, coordinating with other related departments.
Minimum Requirements:
• BSc engineering degree, Computer certification will be added value.
• Previous Operations Standards Engineer or equivalent experience.
• 10 years site experience in Operations position.
• Good knowledge of international standards in his own field.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Computer literate in use of MS Word, Excel, Visio and CAD.
• Proven communication with excellent interpersonal skills.
• HSE, critical operations and auditing experience.
• UAE Experience is an advantage otherwise any GCC region.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
