Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment)
Location: Ruwais, UAE
Basic Function:
• Directs and participates in the provision of various technical advisory services to sustain asset integrity and reliability of Refinery rotating equipment, troubleshooting and modification jobs on rotating equipment at RR.
• Reviews and monitors machinery performance to ascertain its health both on-line and off-line, performs reliability/availability analysis as well as the implementation of recommended optimum methods to deal with chronic problems.
• Provides specialized technical guidance and support to field engineers & supervisors in developing and updating of predictive/preventive maintenance programs and ensures their implementation.
• Supports major expansion projects including reviewing design basis and scope prior to detailed engineering.
• Develops strategies to update/replace equipment and systems that are obsolete and old.
• Conducts HSE audits and evaluates systems and procedures from HSE perspective.
Minimum Requirements:
• B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 9 years’ experience and specialized knowledge in rotating equipment maintenance, repair, diagnostic and analysis, including a variety of large compressors, pumps and turbines in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
• Familiarity with CMMMS (Maximo preferred).
• Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) techniques.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
• Analytical and precise communication skills.
