Highly proficient in written and spoken English, with ability to write/produce the Competency Programs for Entry Point employees.
Should have experience and in-depth knowledge in the discipline of ‘education’, and should be able to determine work methods from several existing alternatives to meet the company’s objectives.
Well-developed presentation and interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral. IT knowledge and PC operation is essential.

Fire and Safety Technician

Fire and Safety Technician
Location: Zirku Island, UAE

Basic Function:

Undertake fire fighting, safety and related duties on Zirku, participating as a member of the fire fighting team, in both actual situations and emergency drills and assisting in general fire fighting training activities and the maintenance and testing of fire-fighting and safety equipment and appliances.

Work Performed:

Operate as a member of a crew to fight fires or assist in rescue missions involving the use of firefighting equipment, various area, as instructed (this includes starting water pumps, handling water spraying hose, opening taps/valve and operating fire extinguishers).
Train and drill regularly on fire prevention and firefighting equipment, maintenance and general rescue techniques.
Undertake daily maintenance and testing work on fire fighting safety and emergency equipment, appliances, tools, vehicles and station premises (including cleaning, repairing, washing, drying, replenishing and testing both mobile and fixed equipment such as hoses, valves, halo cylinders, vehicles, bells, hydrants and motor parts).
Load, unload, tighten, replenish, crape, paint, test, recharge and maintain good operating condition portable foam or chemical fire extinguishers.
Participate in job watch activities which involve standing by and observing all activities carried out by company or contractors’ personnel according to a Permit to work. report any cases of incorrect work practices to the station Officer or the Fire Master.
Undertake other stand by duties such as at the landing and takeoff of helicopters and airplanes and at the loading and unloading of supply boats.
Complete pre-printed forms when carrying out maintenance work, indicating work carried out and observations made.
Undertake other similar or related duties such as maintaining safety officers and locations in a clean and safe conditions, carrying out security checks as requested and cleaning work site after fire fighting operations of drills.
Conduct training on SCBA/escape sets for visitors/new employees and refresher courses for Zirku personnel.
Conduct basic fire fighting course for Company personnel / newcomers and Zirku personnel.
Carry out PA System and fire alarm tests.
Carry out Fire Protection tests and inspections (Deluge, Water spray, Foam, CO2, Inergen and Halon).
Maintain SCBA’s Escape sets. Perform checks as per manufacturer's instructions and ensure records of service, testing and certification is maintained.
Act as a Station Officer during his absence and perform his duties.
Perform gas monitoring during hot work and carry out duties of fire watch as required.
Conduct security patrolling of plant and off-site sensitive areas and report findings to Station Officer.
Attend required HSE training as per the Company HSE Training matrix.
Participate in Oil Spill recovery / drill as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of Secondary Technical Education / ATI (12 years) or equivalent.
Fire years experience in fire fighting including relevant oil field fire fighting experience would be preferable.
Valid driving license, preferably of heavy duty vehicles.
Requirement to read / write English.

Plant Operator

Basic Function:

Carries out operation and control of oil and gas production, water injection, power generation, general utilities systems and related facilities usually under instruction; carries out emergency procedures when necessary in accordance with predetermined methods.

Work Performed:

Operates oil and gas production, flare and vent, drain and disposal, injection and chemical injection system equipment in accordance with standard procedures and supervisory instructions.
Maintains and prepares log sheets for assigned units and systems covering operating data. Record any special occurrences during shift, such as operating problems and equipment breakdowns, inform Panel Operator and/or Operation Supervisor of these.
Monitors and adjust operating parameters and under the direction of the Panel Operator or Shift Supervisor, start up or shutdown locally all utilities and related systems or equipment.
Monitors and adjust local control panels and instruments following instructions and form the Panel Operator and/ or Operation Supervisor.
Provides assistance to the Maintenance Supervisors or Technicians when required.
Takes unit and system samples in accordance with established schedules and makes unit adjustments to equipment as directed. Take various samples outside the control room according to pre-determined tables and schedules and carries out minor testing and analysis work.
Prepares maintenance requisition for equipment under his control.
Participates in commissioning of new equipment/plant.

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of secondary (12 years ) education (science).
5 - 7 years experience in operating utilities equipment, preferably on an offshore production platforms.
Good knowledge of English.

Oil Spill Supervisor

Basic Function:

To monitor and maintain the preparedness of the company oil spill equipment and the related trained sites auxiliary team in order to promptly and efficiently respond to any oil spill emergency might occur within Company sites, moreover to extend any support deemed to be necessary for any oil spill event occurs within any other Opcos within the ADESCO agreement.

Work Performed:

Promptly and efficiently respond to and carry out oil spill operations among all the company sites and to any neighboring Opcos as operationally required. This includes but not limited to deployment of the Oil Spill technicians from Zirku base by the fastest means to provide assistance/leadership to the site team in mobilizing their tier 1 equipment, including providing technical advice on the recovery/clean up strategy.
To organize and schedule regular equipment familiarization & deployment exercise with the respective site tier 1 OSR team to ensure the team members are ready to perform their function within any real action,
To organize and supervise the regular maintenance & servicing of all Company's tier 1 oil spill equipment located at each worksites, namely Zirku Island, Upper Zakum, Umm al dalakh and Arzanah.
Establish the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all the equipment use & maintenance, meanwhile to assure adequate stocks of spare parts and materials are available to maintain equipment are in the utmost standby condition for any needs.
To supervise a team of technicians (2-4) dedicated to carryout maintenance & servicing of Company's tier 1 OSR Equipment.
Create & Organize the "Aux Call List" of the Aux teams with reference to site Shifts.
Take leadership and provide technical advice in any major oil spill exercise organize by Company worksites, including scenario development and to act as assessor/ observer.
To prepare annual operating budget to for the upkeep and maintenance of Company tier 1 OSR equipment to maintain the equipment at utmost readiness meanwhile To justify and initiate new equipment purchase or replacement of Company tier 1 equipment stockpile.
To organize and supervise standby activities during critical operation where there is high risk for a significant spill to occur, e.g. during tanker loading at the SPM or major maintenance/replacement of oil pipelines.

HSE Requirements:

Ensure that all operational activities are carried out with due regard to personal safety, the safety of others, and environmental considerations in line with Company policies and procedures.
Apply the company FISEMS within the activities and procedures.
Assure the negative environmental impact due to oil spill at the conservation and sensitive areas.
Participate and comply with the company HSE plan in term of drills and exercises.
Review and update the sites emergency respond procedure for oil spilt combating.

Minimum Requirements:

Marine or mechanical HD Degree.
Certified IMO 1,2 (International Maritime organization Courses) with more than 5 years experience in: Maintenance of oil spill response equipment.
Coordinating and delivering training to personnel in oil spill response and deployment methods (containment & diverting).
Leading learns in oil spill response drills and events.

Senior Offshore Marine Supervisor

Senior Offshore Marine Supervisor

Basic Function:

Monitor and control marine traffic in respective field sector for the purpose of safe navigation and protection of oilfield environment.
To improve Company HSE performance with proper control and monitoring the marine traffic in the ZAKUM field through available means of vessels tracking system and implement established procedures and OPCO standards.

Work Performed:

Operate vessel tracking software and communicate with respective parties including MCC, Marine Units, Ships masters, Company Offshore Representative, field radio room, the weather forecasters and when required, the emergency services. (ERC)
To communicate with marine units traffic (vessels/barges, etc.) in accordance with the Company Fields information service procedures on navigational assistance and traffic management by means of radio communication facilities provided.
To transmit navigational information to aid the vessels or barges n difficult navigational or meteorological circumstances or in case of defects or deficiencies to avoid incidents.
Operating equipment for communications, records and data analysis for establishment of a traffic image.
Continuous surveillance and monitoring of marine units in the Company field and surrounded areas, for the purpose of safe navigation and protection of the environment.
Monitor offshore weather condition (forecast), weather warning broadcast and ensures it is forwarded to marine spreads operating for Company, especially during marginal weather.
To effectively monitor anchorage control and provide traffic guidance for safe movement of Marine Units in the field.
To organize vessel traffic within the Authority's area of jurisdiction in accordance with planned movements and field traffic regulations & procedures.
Monitor marine traffic in the field and coordinate the movement and routing of vessels, barges and rigs to ensure compliance with OPCO SIMOs and International Regulations.
Respond as necessary to emergency situations such as distress, collision, firefighting, marine pollution, evacuation & any other circumstances.
Report all incidents and violation of marine regulations, damages to mooring facilities and navigation aids. I) Logging all marine spread entering & departing the field.
Guide, train and motivate team members (such as developees) to work to their best potential and perform effectively together as a team.
Participate in offshore HSE drills and exercises of Rigs, Barges, ACPT, Company and onboard Marine Units as necessary.
Comply and encourage others to comply with Company HSE expectations, policy, also local and international HSE standards to achieve zero LTI and reduce the Marine Incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 2nd Mate Foreign Going Certificate of Competency.
A minimum of one (1) year sea service as Watchkeeping on ocean going ships.
Current Valid VTS Certificate and VTS Certification Log.
A valid GMDSS Certification.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, Arabic language as advantage.

Basic Function:

Operate and monitor water injection plant in accordance with standard operating procedures and direct instructions in order to ensure that water injection targets are met and that plants are operating efficiently, safely and economically.

Worked Performed:

Issue work permits already approved by the supervisor, after making sure that all safety precautions prescribed in the permit are fulfilled and closely follow the job; and check the equipment for correct operation when maintenance work is completed or after inspection.
Give work instructions and guidance to Operators and helpers working with him in accordance with established programmes and direct instructions.
Undertake regular routine checks of all equipment and units to ensure that they are functioning correctly in accordance with standard operating procedures and ensure that all relevant operating data are recorded on the log sheets.
Report all equipment and instrument defects to his supervisor and take any possible immediate corrective action in accordance with standing instructions.
Start/stop pumps locally according to instructions or in case of emergency.
Undertake routine permutation of equipment as per present schedule.
Coordinate with FCC Senior Operators and follow the start up/Shutdown sequence of equipments like filters, vacuum pumps, deaerators and high pressure pumps.
Maintain log sheets and shift log book for the plant covering operating data, recording special occurrences (if any) during the shift such as operating upsets and equipment breakdown.  Analyze log data for abnormalities and react accordingly.
Unload chemicals into tanks with Operator and carry out chemical injection operation in accordance with standing instructions.
Collect quality control and study the results to evaluate plant performance.
Coordinate with Safety and FCC during the periodical checking of fire and gas systems.
Initiate and lead fire fighting or other emergency actions in his area until it is taken over by a higher authority.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Monitors and controls all activities within his area of responsibility are conforming to “HSE standards and guidelines” set by the company.
Guide and develop U.A.E. National Developees to achieve their target position set by hierarchy.

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of Secondary technical education (12 years), plus advanced vocational qualification.
5 years experience in an oilfield water injection system or water treatment plant.
Good knowledge of English.

Directs and manages the definition and implementation of IT performance and management reporting activities, IT metrics measurement, and IT based business processes reviews and improvements using industry best practices and standards.
Leads the preparation of the annual budget and 5 year IT Work plans and reviews the progress of approved IT projects against approved budget and plans. Consolidates and monitors the IT Division budget and spend.

Extensive knowledge of industry relevant IT applications, business and engineering packages, etc.
In depth knowledge and practical experience in the application of data and business process modeling procedures, structured methodologies, industry standards, planning tools, financial modeling tools, quality management tools and techniques is mandatory.
International IT consulting experience is a strong plus.
Excellent command of English.

Minimum Requirements:

B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Network Engineer or Equivalent.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of direct experience in designing, implementing large corporate data networks based on LAN/WAN.
Good knowledge of network protocols and standards such as IEEE and ITU.
Hands on experience in installation and maintenance of network equipment, preferably CISCO.
Experience in Enterprise Network Management Systems.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP are highly desired.
Experience with security monitoring tools and firewall I gateway configuration and management.
Sound knowledge of Windows & Networking is essential.
Strong Project Management skills are essential.

Completion of Secondary (12 years) education, followed by Higher Diploma in a technical trade.
5 years’ experience in plant operations in an oil, gas or petrochemical industry.
Good knowledge of English.

Basic Function:

Provides specialized technical guidance and support to sustain asset integrity and reliability of Refinery Control equipment, failure analysis of a wide range of instrumentation and associated control systems such as PLCs, DCS,F&G, SCADA, MCM Systems, field instrumentation etc., resolution of repetitive or chronic reliability problems and participation in pilot Reliability Centred Maintenance studies.
Ensures implementation and utilisation of MAXIMO in Preventive Maintenance, reviews plant additions from reliability and maintainability aspect, and assumes quality assurance role for major maintenance tasks or tasks where there are concerns over standards (in coordination with Area Engineer). 
Ensures optimisation of maintenance strategies, analysis of all critical equipment failures and recommendation for corrective measures, and development and updating of Predictive/ Preventive maintenance programs. 
Develops and implements hi- tech maintenance programs and reliability improvement program recommendations.
Supports major expansion project by reviewing design basis and scope prior to detailed engineering. 
Develops strategies to update/replace equipment and systems that are obsolete and old.
Conducts HSE audits and evaluates systems and procedures from HSE perspective. 

Minimum Requirements:

B. Sc in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering.
9 years’ experience in installation, maintenance and repair of instrumentation and control systems in areas of DCS, ESD, F&G, PLC, Analysers and MCM, in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
Familiarity with CMMMS (Maximo preferred). Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) techniques.
Good spoken and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is preferable.
Analytical and precise communication skills.

Cement Engineer (Field)

Basic Function:

Discuss the cementing program with Company cementing engineer and liaise with Cement Service companies and request cement composition and calculates volume and chemicals required to ensure conformity with the cementing section approved procedure, standard and specifications. 
Prepare the logistic plan and follow up with shipping and operations groups, in order to make sure all chemicals, blends and equipment are available on the rig. 

Work Performed:

Audits cementing job on site and make sure that the operation goes as per Company standard and procedure. Report HSE or quality violations related to cementing jobs and propose action plan and follow up until closure. Prepare a post job cement report and discuss it with the cementing section.
Reviews on a daily basis the upcoming operations on each Company rig and discuss with Company cementing Engineer the cementing program and understand the objectives and success criteria of the cement job.
Coordinates with Company cement Engineer, the cementing service companies and shipping as well as the Drilling supervisor on the rig to make sure the chemicals are ordered and available on the rig on time.
Liaises with cementing Engineer, shipping, Rep and the cement service companies in order to send the required equipment for the cement Job; such as the batch mixer, cement head as well as down hole and make sure they are available on time on the rig site while taking in consideration the weather forecast limitations.
Helps Company cementing Engineer to investigate cement job failure, trouble – shoots cement job problems while determining corrective and remedial actions and measures to be reviewed.
Makes sure that remedial actions and best practices are implemented correctly by cement service companies on site and on all cement jobs.
Makes sure blend and cement sampling is performed as per Company standard.
Prevents blend/cement contamination by controlling the transfer process from the bulker to the boat and into the rig silos.
Attends and supervises cement jobs on the rig site and assure that job execution is as per the planned program. Make sure that the cement job records and report are submitted by cement service companies within 2 days from the job execution.
Prepares a post job to be discussed with line manager during the job debrief.
Works in line with HSE policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent.
5 - 6 years of experience in Cementing and down hole tools service.
Very Good Knowledge in English.

Fluid Engineer

Basic Function:

Prepare more complex cement and mud programs, monitors closely program implementation and evaluates performance. 
Identify HSE hazards related to fluids chemicals and waste management and recommend corrective action. 
Prepares standards procedure manuals including problem-solving recommendations.
Recommends the acid recipe. 
On call 24 hours a day.

Work Performed:

Monitors the daily operations to determine the current status of wells undergoing drilling or workover and establishes the cement & mud requirements.
Evaluates products and carries out pilot tests as needed to arrive at the best & most economical cement composition and mud & workover fluids for operations.
Evaluates mud/ cement chemical properties to ensure they meet international standards. (e. g. A.P.I and oil companies Material Association (O.C.M.A) specifications.
Evaluates the available mud/ cementing products in the market and determines the mud chemical requirements, and specifications for procurement purpose and ensures its availability.
Supervises the performance of mud treatment/ cementing equipment and carries out the necessary studies to ensure the technical requirements are achieved.
Monitors closely the cost of the cement & drilling fluid on daily/weekly and per well basis and recommends necessary action to optimize cost.
Gives guidelines on laboratory testing for mud/ cement/ acid formations.  Studies general drilling plans and develops required Cement/Mud Programs for each well to be drilled or worked over in liaison with the Drilling Engineers.
Discuss with cement/mud companies’ reps work related problems, development and use of chemicals, service equipment and techniques.
Introduce new technologies.
Performs other related duties such as preparation of various studies related to cement, mud and completion fluids.
Keeps abreast of technological development in the field of mud and cement engineering in the oil/ production industry and recommends their adoption by Company.
Participates in the training and development of assigned UAE national employees. Administer on the job training/familiarization programs and reports on progress.
Knows the Company health, safety and environmental policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility, and ensures that they are effectively implemented in his domain.

Minimum Requirements:

B. Sc. In Petroleum, Chemical or related engineering or scientific discipline.
10 years of mud or cementing engineering in drilling and workover operations.

Senior Drilling Operations Manager

Basic Function:

Direct and manage the activities of Drilling and Workover operations carried out by Company and contractors personnel of multi-discipline teams to ensure that divisional KPI are achieved. Set guidelines for operations performance to improve standards and efficiency.
Select new rigs for Company rig fleet and contract management and safe start-up. 
Act as the Deputy Drilling Manager on need basis.

Worked Performed: (Initial)

Direct and manage the activities of personnel in the Drilling Operations Department for respective tasks under his authority. Perform supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established for the position.
Participate with the VP-Drilling in the development of budgets and business plan for ongoing drilling and workover activities and for non-routine expenditure. Ensure proper implementation of effective cost control procedures for all drilling/workover activities is managed to Company financial guidelines and KPI requirements.
Verify and approve all rig operational programs and related services to ensure that operations are programmed in a safe, cost effective manner deploying the latest technology safely, maintaining the established industry standards and implementing work program requirements. Review and analyze work progress to ensure that company work programs are being followed and that objectives are being attained whilst abiding by Company standards and procedures. 
Manage the introduction of new rigs introduced into Company operations. Ensure a safe start up.
Direct, coordinate and review technical and feasibility studies covering drilling and workover related operations including comparison between current verses new procedures and proposed equipment for Company operations. In addition initiate, follow up studies related to recurring drilling problems, to provide solutions and to recommend changes of practices.

Minimum Requirements:

Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
20 years experience in Petroleum Engineering including at least 15 years in Drilling and at least 10 years in a supervisory position.
Very good knowledge of English.
Proven Leadership skills; Safety leadership, coach, mentor, develop, result delivery.

Prioritize and mobilize resources effectively and reviews results regularly to keep long-term goals in sight.

Carry out daily on-line condition monitoring activities and visual inspection of electrical equipment based on Maximo work orders. 
Prepare the work permit, relevant test equipment and inspection forms for the following day’s activities.

Collect technical data from the field and documents repository relevant to the electrical equipment under monitoring.

Carry out transformer oil sampling or provide direction and instruction to service contractor in accordance with the relevant standard.

Minimum Requirements:

Electrical Condition monitoring Technician with Diploma in Electrical engineering and must have minimum 5 years’ experience in the Electrical Maintenance activities of HV/MV/LV generator, transformer, motor, switchgear, starters, batteries and UPS. 
Must be familiar with SLD, electrical test equipment, hazardous area classification, PTW system and electrical equipment applications. 
Must be proficient in MS Office application and report writing.
