Mechanical Equipment Section Head
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Basic Function:
• Plan, direct, supervise and control the engineering, design and development activities/functions of Mechanical Engineering Department pertaining to various Mechanical Equipment (viz.Static Equipment, Rotating Equipment, Process Specialty Packages and HVAC) so as to serve as centralized equipment design expertise; while ensuring compliance with Company strategies, commitments and goals.
• Coordinate and provide specialized technical support in Mechanical Equipment Design to Ruwais and Abu Dhabi Refineries, Major Projects Division, Corporate Support Division and other Company Divisions. Also provide Mechanical Equipment Engineering support for Execution of Minor projects from FEED through EPC to commissioning and final acceptance, in the Engineering and Technical Support Division.
Minimum Requirements:
• BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years’ experience in refining and oil & gas related fields of which 5 years should have been in a supervisory position.
• A broad technical and managerial knowledge base, coupled with multi-disciplinary depth of skills in Mechanical Engineering.
• A high degree of original thinking, judgment, critical analysis, and problem solving ability.
• Capacity to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high pressure environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively articulate ideas to team members and Contractors from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
• Excellent Communication and Management skill.
• Excellent leadership and Team building skills.
• Sufficient level of competency in use of Computers.
