Network Engineer Collaboration Infrastructure
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Basic Function:
• Reporting to Team Leader Network, plans and executes all activities related to Installation, Implementation, operation, troubleshoot and support Company IT Networks and related components.
• Responsible for efficient and smooth operation of enterprise high speed network infrastructure.
• Has responsibility for carrying out proactive monitoring of the network, ensuring optimum resource utilization and acceptable performance, Network Engineer ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure in order to provide excellent performance and robust services to business users.
Worked Performed:
• Installation, Configuration, Administration, Troubleshoot and support Company Network Infrastructure and related components.
• Plans and executes activities to achieve Company business objectives regarding network operations for all current and future facilities, including Head Offices, Irena, Shah Site.
• Administers Local Area Network and Wide Area Network coverage to all facilities including MPLS Cloud linking all Abu Dhabi Offices & Sites along with interfaces with Company Group Network and the Internet.
• Administer and support reliable high quality network services such as Internet access, Remote access, Email services, Client-Server and Web-based applications access, Video-conferencing and Voice over ATM, IP Telephony, all of which are critical to Company business.
• Participates in the design, installation, upgrade and testing of Network infrastructure and its components.
• Performs Network Administration functions and provide support to all business units.
Additional Duties:
• Contributes toward and promotes the protection of the Company IT assets and corporate information against threats to their security by implementing the Information Security Policy and all other related rules, regulations and guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Network Engineer or Equivalent.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of direct experience in designing, implementing large corporate data networks based on LAN/WAN.
• Good knowledge of network protocols and standards such as IEEE and ITU.
• Hands on experience in installation and maintenance of network equipment, preferably CISCO.
• Experience in Enterprise Network Management Systems.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP are highly desired.
• Experience with security monitoring tools and firewall I gateway configuration and management.
• Sound knowledge of Windows & Networking is essential.
• Strong Project Management skills are essential.
