IT Security Officer (Compliance)
Location: Abu Dhabi
Basic Function:
• Design the IT security architecture to ensure data protection and data integrity across all IT verticals, according to best practices and recognized Information Security standards.
• Design and execute policies, processes and procedures to achieve and maintain the best compliance standard and governs the maintenance and implementation of security frameworks, and constantly monitor and audit the compliance state of the current environment to maintain the compliance level once achieved.
Work Performed:
• Design and continuously improve the Security Architecture based on best practices and latest trends/requirements.
• Implement end to end Security to cover all IT verticals (Applications, Database, Systems, Servers, Networks, etc.),
• Analyze business process changes to study scope and impact analysis to ensure that these changes are compliant with the Security guidelines and adhere to Company IT Security policy.
• Conduct and administer professional Risk Assessment exercise as per Company IT Security guidelines.
• Arrange and compile reports on current risk state of the organization and evaluates it at regular intervals & devised timelines.
• Govern and administer the SOC environment and their findings to collate and compile reports and mitigate threats & Risks
• Administer the Company initiative for security framework and compliance achievement.
• Prepare Standards and Procedures to achieve and maintain the required compliance level.
• Continuously monitor the compliance state and audit to maintain the compliance level once achieved.
• Develop and maintain IT Security policy, processes and Security standards, and assists in implementing the policies and standards across Company.
• Ensures compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental ISO standards across all areas of Company and ensures companywide commitment to the above standards.
• Performs other similar or related activities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
• Masters in Information Security is preferred.
• Minimum 5- 7 years’ experience in multiple domains of Security & Network Security.
• Ability to work in a pressurised environment with tight deadlines.
• Ability to understand the varied scopes of jobs and corresponding skills / qualifications / experience required for the job.
• Ability to demonstrate and understand potential and emerging information security threats, vulnerabilities, and control techniques and communicate this information to appropriate team members throughout the Company on a timely basis.
• Professional Security certifications like (CISSP, CEH, CHFI, CISM, CESA etc.)
• Extensive technical expertise in these Information security domains: Security Architecture and Design, Operations Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, Legal, Regulations, Investigations, Compliance & Information Security Governance and Risk Management.
• Experience in architecting and integrating security solutions including devices, networks and systems necessary to prevent, detect and respond to security threats.
• Expert knowledge of a wide range of current network security technologies such as firewalls, proxies, network and host-based intrusion prevention, DLP, vulnerability assessment tools, security information/event management, endpoint security, anti-virus/anti-malware, etc.
• Familiarity with security intelligence gathering, threat identification and attribution.
• Development/scripting experience: Python and/or PowerShell is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Expert knowledge of Information Security best practices.
