Senior Planning Analyst
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Basic Function:
• To lead the Business Development Team to define corporate objectives and formulate business plans. Provide assistance and guidance to Business Unit Planners and consolidate individual BU and SU plans into Company's Corporate Plans.
Work Performed:
• Conduct strategic analysis of Company's various business segments, identify likely future scenarios and develop alternative strategies based on these scenarios. This should include a risk assessment of each strategy where appropriate.
• Review plans produced by Business and Support Units. Verify the accuracy of information, detect inconsistencies with other unit's plans & overall Company plans, check that all alternative strategies have been considered, bottlenecks/opportunities identified and recommend improvements to the plans. This will require a high level of competence in business planning.
• Coordinates and participate in Company corporate (S/H's) meeting; TCM and PMC, etc., and make presentations to SHs, GMT and EMT on Corporate Planning topics.
• Share corporate level information among OPCOs.
• Facilitate interface between Business/Support Unit. Also, facilitate the interface between Company and other sister companies.
• Analyze data using a range of statistical tools to produce useful information for the Corporate planning process. This includes statistical analysis of data, forecasting using mathematical modeling & multiple regression, sensitivity analysis, and optimization of resource utilization using tools such as linear programming.
• Prepare clear reports, trends and analysis for senior management and shareholders on the various aspects of business planning. This will require a high skill in report writing and presentation graphics.
• Prepare, deliver and maintain high quality business planning processes for the Business Unit.
• Prepare and deliver on time Long Term Strategy, 5-Year Business Plan and One-Year Work Programme and handouts of presentations for Corporate Meetings in compliance with Company quality standards.
• Prepare within agreed time frame and quality standard the Corporate Reporting Systems.
• Prepare reports, analysis and management information data as required in appropriate forms from time to time.
• Develop and implement effective and efficient Economical Evaluation and Probability Analysis processes for the various options assisting Management/Shareholders in investment decision.
• Identify critical issues and areas of concern in order to ensure timely achievement of set goals and targets for the company.
• Coach Planning Analyst and Business/Support Units personnel about Company business planning and performance management processes and guide in managing these processes effectively.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with Knowledge related to Petroleum business.
• Further qualification in Business Planning preferable.
• Good command of business planning, performance measurement, petroleum economics, resource allocation and economic analysis.
• Ability to coach and guide people.
• Communication tact and influencing ability.
• Excellent Presentation skills.
• Proficient in English language and good writing skills.
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience.
