Process Safety Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Basic Function:
• Provides technical support to help drive site improvement in Process Safety.
• Assists in the identification of significant process hazards and evaluation of the risks for Abu Dhabi Refinery units and components in accordance with the company’s risk management procedure.
• Ensures technical quality assurance for process safety performance monitoring.
Minimum Requirements:
• B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
• 5 years’ experience in a process safety or HSE role in oil and gas industry, including one year in a supervisory position. Experience in process engineering or operations are preferable.
• Knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Conversant with OSHA, API, NFPA, ANSI and CCPS.
• Experience in Process Hazard Analysis.
• Well conversant with quality assurance international standards and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with staff and contractors with a focus on collaboration.
• Excellent organizational management and planning skills.
• Strong decision making ability.
• Good knowledge of Verbal and written English and conversant with Arabic.
